Dr. Rajan Mahtani is a silent performer. Over the years, he has produced some of the most promising performers who have accelerated the process of development in Zambia and other African nations. The Portland Cement Factory Zambia was one that always remained in question because it never had much to brag about. However, in 2014 all shatters were broken when the factory produced close to 130% of its estimated output.
The estimated production capacity of Portland Cement Factory Zambia is close of 3, 60, 000 tonnes annually with a daily production capacity of 1000 tonnes. However, with an increased demand of cement in the Ndola Housing Project, the factory went on to produce 4, 73, 985 tonnes of cement for the year 2014. The Ndola housing project is a mass house building project where 71 houses were built for the people who were displaced from their original place due to development plans.
The news surplus output has come as a pleasant surprise for most of the Zambians and the people of Masaiti. Motivated by this recent achievement, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has also promised to come up with a lime plant in Masaiti which is likely offer an additional employment to almost 160 people in the next two years.
Therefore, it has now become evident that Portland Cement Factory Zambia will have plenty to show off in 2015 as it has become one of the top performing units in Zambia.
